By the time you feel like it it’ll be too late!

I am talking about creating significant quantities of valuable content focused on the fears frustrations wants and aspirations of your ideal prospects.

One of the planets great marketing brains is Seth Godin. He often talks about the “innovation adoption life cycle”. This demonstrates what percentage of the population takes up new changes, particularly in technology.

The cycle is broken into five sections. Innovators (2.5%), early adopters (13.5%), early majority (34%),  late majority (34%), laggards (16%).

I wanted to share this with you to help you understand that if you wait until you feel the need to change your approach to marketing your building business, you probably be too late.

Even if you are in the early majority the noise surrounding your marketing message and the number of your competitors that will be using the same approach, will significantly reduce the effectiveness of your efforts.

So you need to be in the innovators group, or at worst the early adopters. The secret is getting in well before the majority. By doing so not only do you get a head start, but you become the first that comes to mind when people are looking for a service like yours.

So get stuck in now! Start producing content and don’t worry about getting perfect, just get it done! You will get better as you go, and if you wait, it doesn’t matter how good your message is, it will be diluted.
